About

QR Code Reader

Features

The only QR app that verifies a code before you trust it. Most scanners open whatever they read. Most generators hand you a pretty code and hope it scans. This one does the opposite: it inspects every link before it opens, checks every payment code before your money moves, and stress-tests every design before you print it. What makes it different - Link X-Ray. Before any link opens, it's expanded to its true destination and rated Safe, Caution, or Do Not Open — with plain-language reasons. Hidden short links, look-alike addresses, and unencrypted pages are caught on your device. - Payment Shield. Scan a payment code and see exactly who's behind it — name, ID, and amount — before you pay. Editable-amount and mismatched-name codes are flagged clearly. - Scan Guarantee Lab. Style a code as far as you like, then let the built-in Lab score it for real-world scannability. It simulates blur, glare, low light, distance, and mono printing, tells you what to fix, and gives you a print-size guide. - Brand Kit + Share-to-Code. Save your colors, logo, and style once. Turn any link from any app into your signature code in two taps. - Voice-Guided Scan. A fully spoken, high-contrast scanning mode built for blind and low-vision users, with audio alignment and spoken results. Everything you'd expect, done well - Scan and generate QR codes and barcodes (UPC, EAN, Code 128, and more) - A deep design studio: gradients, custom dots and eyes, logos, frames, error-correction control - Smart results: Wi-Fi codes join, contacts save, events add to your calendar in one tap - A searchable vault of everything you've scanned and created, with CSV export - Multi-scan, gallery scanning, and flash controls Private by design. Codes are read and checked on your device. Nothing you scan is uploaded. There are no accounts to create. Design it. Verify it. Scan it safe. Disclaimer: All safety, payment, and scan checks run entirely on your device using pattern-based analysis. They may miss harmful links or flag safe ones, and cannot verify a payment recipient's identity or legitimacy — the app never processes payments. Treat every result as guidance, not a guarantee: review a link's destination, confirm details with the merchant before paying, and test a printed sample before bulk printing. Scan QR codes and barcodes, recognize text from product photos, and view available ingredients, allergens, and nutrition facts in one simple app. QR Scanner · Barcode Reader opens directly to the scanner and is designed for quick everyday use. Links are never opened automatically, and your scan history is stored locally on your device. QR AND BARCODE SCANNING Point your camera at a QR code or barcode to read its contents. Supported formats include: • QR Code • EAN-8 and EAN-13 • UPC-A and UPC-E • Code 39, Code 93, and Code 128 • ITF • PDF417 • Data Matrix • Aztec • Codabar Scan website links, product packaging, tickets, Wi-Fi details, contact information, text, email addresses, phone numbers, SMS content, locations, calendar events, and more. REVIEW LINKS BEFORE OPENING Scanned links are never opened automatically. You can review the destination first, then choose whether to open, copy, or share it. The app also checks links on-device for structural risk signals such as unusual formatting and look-alike characters. These checks are informational and do not guarantee that a website is safe. PRODUCT AND FOOD INFORMATION Scan a supported product barcode to search for available product information through the Open Facts databases. Depending on the available data, product results may include: • Product name and image • Brand and category • Weight or quantity • Ingredients • Allergens • Energy and calories • Fat and saturated fat • Carbohydrates and sugars • Fiber • Protein • Salt and sodium • Nutri-Score and NOVA group Information availability and accuracy depend on the relevant third-party database. Product lookup requires an internet connection, while ordinary QR and barcode scanning continues on the device. PRODUCT PHOTO AND TEXT RECOGNITION When a product does not have a readable barcode, take a photo of its packaging or select an existing image. The app first checks the image for a QR code or barcode. If no code is found, text recognition runs on your device and creates editable product search terms. Possible matching products are displayed for you to review. The app never selects a product automatically; you choose the correct match before viewing its available ingredients or nutrition information. If no matching product is found, you can edit the search terms, search the web, copy the recognized text, or share it. SCAN FROM YOUR PHOTOS Choose an existing image containing a QR code, barcode, product label, or ordinary text. This is useful for: • Screenshots • Saved tickets • Product packaging • Documents and labels • Posters • Digital menus • Images received in messaging apps CREATE QR CODES AND BARCODES Create codes for: • Websites • Text • Wi-Fi networks • Contacts • Phone numbers • Email addresses • SMS messages • Calendar events • Locations • Product and numeric values Created codes can be viewed, saved, shared, and stored in your local history. LOCAL HISTORY Keep scanned and created codes in an optional local history. Search previous results, revisit links, copy scanned content, and delete your history whenever you want. PRIVACY BY DESIGN • No advertisements • No subscriptions • No in-app purchases • No account required • No developer analytics or tracking • No automatic link opening • Local scan history • Light, dark, and system themes Camera images and selected photos are processed on your device for code and text recognition. Photos are not uploaded by the app. When you perform an online product lookup, only the barcode or editable product search terms are sent directly to the relevant information service. QR Scanner · Barcode Reader brings QR scanning, barcode reading, product information, photo text recognition, code creation, and local history together in one straightforward app.
