Car Maintenance Tracker

A car maintenance log that remembers what you had done, and tells you before the next one is due. Most people keep their service history in a glovebox folder, a text file, or nowhere at all — and then find an oil change is nine months overdue, or hand a buyer a car with no paper trail and take less money for it. This fixes both ends: log a service in seconds, and hear about the next one before the interval runs out. DATE OR MILEAGE — WHICHEVER COMES FIRST A real service interval has two triggers. Oil is due every six months OR every 5,000 miles, and for most people one arrives well before the other. Set both and the app watches both, tells you which will land first, and reminds you about a week ahead. Drive a lot and mileage wins; drive a little and the calendar does. Your reminders follow how you actually drive, not an average. LOG A SERVICE IN SECONDS Pick what was done from around thirty common jobs — oil and filter, tire rotation, brake pads, coolant, spark plugs, timing belt, transmission fluid, air filter, inspection, registration — then add the date, the odometer, the cost and the shop. Attach a photo of the receipt if you have one. Same loop whether you did the work yourself or paid someone. EVERY VEHICLE IN ONE GARAGE A car, a second car, a truck, a motorcycle, a camper, the mower — each keeps its own odometer, its own intervals and its own history. Switch between them with one tap. Miles or kilometres, per vehicle, whichever you think in. HISTORY THAT SELLS YOUR CAR A complete, dated maintenance record is worth real money at resale, and "I looked after it" is worth nothing without one. Export your history as a clean PDF and hand it to a buyer, a mechanic, or an insurer. Everything on it is what you logged — dates, odometer, work done, cost. KNOW WHAT IT REALLY COSTS Running costs add up quietly. Once you have logged a few services, see the totals — by month, by job, and per mile — built from your own records and nothing else. No estimates, no averages, nothing invented on your behalf. PRIVATE, OFFLINE, NO ACCOUNT Your vehicles, your receipts and your costs stay on your phone. There is no account to make, no cloud, nothing uploaded, and no ads anywhere in the app. It works in a car park with no signal, which is where you usually need it. Back your records up to a file you keep yourself, and restore them on a new phone. WHAT YOU CAN TRACK • Oil and filter changes, with the reminder set the way your car is actually driven • Tire rotation, new tires, wheel alignment and balance • Brake pads, brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid, differential and transfer case • Air and cabin filters, spark plugs, belts, battery, wipers and bulbs • Safety inspection, emissions test, registration and insurance renewal • Fuel fills, repairs, detailing, and anything else worth writing down ABOUT SERVICE INTERVALS The intervals offered here are typical figures, there as a starting point. Your own vehicle's schedule is in its owner's manual, and that is the one that counts — every interval is yours to change, and nothing here is presented as a manufacturer's specification. Makes and models are yours to type. This app carries no manufacturer database, reads nothing from your car, and needs no extra hardware — it is a maintenance record, kept by you. Forty-three widgets for people who care what their Home Screen looks like. Elyr is a widget app built the way a widget should be: one number, one image, nothing competing for your attention. Every widget comes in three sizes, eleven styles and fourteen typefaces, drawn for light mode and for dark. One app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, bought once. WIDGETS THAT KNOW TWO THINGS AT ONCE Today — the clock, the temperature and your next event in one slot. Up Next · Weather — every event carries the forecast for the hour it starts. Body — steps, move, heart and sleep together, on one card. Morning — sunrise, the hours ahead, and what is on today. Duo — pick what goes in each half yourself, from twenty-seven options. ON THE LOCK SCREEN Most Elyr widgets also have a Lock Screen form — a gauge, a line beside the clock, or a full rectangle. A running Focus session counts down there and in the Dynamic Island. WHAT YOU CAN PUT ON YOUR HOME SCREEN Weather — the temperature and one condition glyph, with an hourly strip on the larger sizes. Celsius or Fahrenheit, set once for every widget. Set a city; Elyr never asks for your location. Feels Like, Rain, UV Index, Wind — the readings that change what you wear, from the forecast Elyr already has. Daylight and Golden Hour — how much light is left, and when it's worth going out. Up Next — the next thing in your calendar. Not a list. Just what's next. Reminders and Birthdays — what you told yourself to do, and whose birthday is next. Both read-only; names and dates only. Clock, Date, World Clock — the time, the day and its week, and three places worth knowing the hour in. Countdown, Since, Year, Season — days until, days since, and how far through. Focus, Tally, Streak, Mood, Quotes — focused time, anything you want to count, the days you kept it up, how today went, and 233 lines of Marcus Aurelius, Rumi and Dickinson. All answer a tap without opening the app. Moon and Name Day — tonight's phase and the Romanian Orthodox calendar, both offline. Activity, Move, Heart, Sleep, Bedtime — from Apple Health, with a countdown to the hour you want to be asleep by. Battery, Storage, Music — the level, the free space, and what's playing, with play, pause and skip. Hue — a different colour every day, from the date itself. FIVE FOR THE 8×4 CARD (iPad and Mac) Desk — the clock, the weather and the rest of your day on one card. Week — seven columns, four events deep, starting today, not on a Monday already gone. Agenda — today placed against the hours instead of listed. Meridian — six places, and how far into the day each one is. This Mac — disk, battery and uptime. This iPad, on an iPad. ELEVEN STYLES, FOURTEEN TYPEFACES Glass, Paper, Sand, Clay, Moss, Jade, Mist, Slate, Velvet, Line and Ink, set in SF Pro Rounded, Space Grotesk, Bebas Neue, JetBrains Mono, Anton, Orbitron or eight others. The gallery in the app shows every widget at full size in all of them, before you commit. PRIVACY, PLAINLY No account. No analytics. No advertising. No tracking of any kind. Your health data, calendar, reminders, contacts, music and mood never leave your device. The only things that ever go out are the coordinates of the city you chose, to fetch the weather from Apple Weather, and a purchase receipt. Elyr never asks for your location and cannot work out where you are. Tally counts, mood entries and preferences sync between your devices through iCloud, not any server of ours. ONE PAYMENT Clock, Year, Countdown and Quotes are free forever, in three styles, with no time limit. Elyr Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks the other thirty-nine widgets, every style and every typeface. Not a subscription, and it does not renew. A widget already on your Home Screen can never stop working because a payment failed, and everything added later is included. Requires iOS 17 or macOS 14. The Health, Calendar, Reminders, Contacts and Music widgets ask permission first; everything else works without any.

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Elyr at every 3 days against Car Maintenance Tracker's weekly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
