Chess Clock & Game Timer
Read full descriptionHide full description
Chess Clock turns your iPhone or iPad into the clock that sits between two players. Two huge tap zones, no menus in the way, and timing that stays exact from the first move to the last. FOUR TIMING MODES - Sudden death: the classic. Run out and you flag. - Fischer increment: time is added to your bank after every move you complete. - Bronstein delay: you get back what you spent on a move, up to the delay. - Simple (US) delay: your main time only starts running once the delay is used up. READY IN ONE TAP Blitz 3+2, Blitz 5+0, Rapid 10+0 and Classical 90+30 are built in. Build and save your own for club nights, with any name and an optional move-limit label. BUILT FOR THE BOARD - Both halves are mirrored, so the clock reads right-side up from either side of the table. - A move counter for each player. - Undo the last tap when someone hits the wrong half. - Pause and resume without losing or gaining a single second. - The screen never dims or locks during a game. - Close the app mid-game and pick the position back up where you left it. - Time odds for Black, an option for Black to move first, warning beeps at 60, 30 and 10 seconds, and time correction while paused EXACT, NOT APPROXIMATE The clock never counts ticks. Every reading is computed from timestamps, so a phone call, a notification or a trip to the home screen cannot make it drift. GAME HISTORY Games are saved when a flag falls or when you pick the result as you leave: the result, how long it ran, and how long each single move took for both players. Add a note, tag where you played, attach photos of the board or the scoresheet, and export the move times as a CSV file. CHESS CLOCK PRO Unlock three extra board themes (four with the free Classic) and three extra flag alert sounds (four with the free Classic Beep), and remove every ad. Pay once and keep it for good, or pick a weekly, monthly or yearly plan and cancel any time from your App Store settings. The clock, presets and history work completely offline. The free version shows ads, which need an internet connection (never during a game). No account, no sign-up, nothing to configure. Chess Clock is a timer for over-the-board play. It does not validate moves, enforce rules or record notation. COMMON QUESTIONS Which time controls does it handle? Sudden death, Fischer increment, Bronstein delay and simple US delay. Blitz 3+2, Blitz 5+0, Rapid 10+0 and Classical 90+30 are one tap away, and you can save your own. Does the clock drift? No. Every reading is computed from timestamps rather than counted ticks, so a call, a notification or the screen turning off cannot gain or lose a second. Someone tapped the wrong half โ can we fix it? Yes. Undo takes back the last tap, and you can pause and resume without gaining or losing time. Can both players read it? The two halves are mirrored, so the clock reads right-side up from either side of the board. Each side also has its own move counter. Does it check whether a move is legal? No. It is a clock for over-the-board play: it counts time and moves, not pieces. Positions, rules and the result stay with the players and the arbiter. What is free and what does Pro add? All four timing modes, the presets, your own saved controls, time odds, the warning beeps and the game history are free. Pro adds three extra board themes and three extra flag sounds, and removes the ads. Terms of Use: https://masaapps360.com/chessclock/terms/ Privacy Policy: https://masaapps360.com/chessclock/privacy/
