Hurtz

Hurtz is a clean, precise audio tone generator. Dial in any frequency from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and hear it instantly β€” great for testing speakers and headphones, tuning instruments, or producing a steady reference tone. FEATURES β€’ Any frequency, 20 Hz – 20,000 Hz, set by a slider or typed in exactly (with a log or linear scale). β€’ Four waveforms: sine, square, saw and triangle. β€’ Quick presets (100, 220, 440, 1k, 10k Hz). β€’ Nearest musical note read-out with cents (A4 = 440), handy as a tuning reference. β€’ Frequency sweep: glide smoothly from one frequency to another over a set time. β€’ Stereo mode: set a different frequency on the left and right channels, with a live difference (Ξ”) read-out. Useful for stereo and channel checks, and for binaural tones (use headphones). β€’ A live oscilloscope view of the waveform. β€’ Adjustable volume, and a large play/stop control. β€’ Works on iPhone and iPad. Everything runs on your device. The app has no ads, no accounts, no tracking, and no internet access β€” it collects no data at all. SAFETY Sustained high-volume tones β€” especially very high or very low frequencies β€” can be uncomfortable and may risk hearing or small speakers. Start at a low volume.

About

JustCleaner

Features

JustCleaner plays a low-frequency pulsing tone through your speaker. Each pulse is an attempt to push trapped water out of the grille. That is all it does β€” and the app is careful to say so. No phone has a sensor that can see water inside a speaker, so JustCleaner never claims to detect it and never tells you the water is gone. It plays the tone; you listen and decide. THE CYCLE β€’ Thirty seconds, one tap. Gentle, Standard and Extended. β€’ A 118–205 Hz sweep in pulses, not a continuous drone. The frequency is not arbitrary: a plug of water in a port moves roughly with 1/fΒ², so a higher tone does less, not more. β€’ Vibration in step with the tone, so you can feel the cycle running without watching the screen. β€’ The cycle stops itself if you plug in headphones. The tone only makes sense through the phone's own speaker. TOOLS β€’ Wet device? What to do β€” what to avoid after a spill, including why rice does not help. β€’ Display check β€” full-screen colours for stuck pixels. β€’ Sound level β€” a microphone meter, uncalibrated and labelled as such. β€’ Speaker check β€” compare two measurements of your own speaker. PRO β€” a one-time purchase, not a subscription β€’ Dust & Sand Remover β€” a different band (0.5–2 kHz) aimed at loose particles sitting on the grille. It cannot pull out dust packed into the mesh, and the screen says so. β€’ SOS Beacon β€” the Morse SOS pattern through the speaker and the camera flash. It signals; it does not call anyone. β€’ Earpiece output β€” send the tone to the top speaker instead. β€’ Strong vibration β€” a continuous haptic pattern alongside the tone. β€’ Apple Watch app β€” run the cycle from your wrist, with no phone nearby. β€’ Start from the Lock Screen, Control Centre or the Action Button. β€’ Alternate app icons. Eighteen languages, with full right-to-left layout for Arabic. JustCleaner cannot detect water, repair liquid damage, or tell you whether your speaker is clear. If a phone has been in salt water or a sugary drink, rinse the outside briefly with fresh water first and consider a service check β€” a tone will not shift a residue.
