Tablee
Read full descriptionHide full description
The seating plan, minus the three hours of sticky notes. You enter your guests and your rules: who belongs together, who should stay apart. Tablee builds the floor plan and leaves you the final say on every seat. WHAT ACTUALLY CHANGES โข You describe, the app seats. "These two together", "definitely not those two", "children at one table". Tablee looks for the arrangement that honours the most rules. โข It tells you what it gave up. When two rules contradict each other, it doesn't choose in silence: it shows the trade-off and lets you decide. โข A last-minute cancellation breaks nothing. Remove a guest, run it again: the plan recalculates while moving as few people as possible. Anything you placed by hand stays put. โข You keep control. Drag someone with a finger, pin them, run it again. What you fixed is never undone. โข Your guest list arrives in one go. Paste a spreadsheet, import an Excel, CSV or PDF file, pick from your contacts, or type names with Quick add: "Emma & Louis Martin" makes a household. Households, groups, meals, allergens and replies all come through, and each group can be gathered or spread out, as you choose. โข A room to your measurements. Dimensions to the tenth of a metre, seven table shapes, stage, dance floor, bar, buffet, entrances, pillars. And several rooms: drinks in the garden, dinner in the barn. ON YOUR IPHONE, AND ON YOUR COMPUTER IF YOU LIKE Everything works without an account on iPhone and iPad, even offline. An optional, free Tablee account brings your plans to your computer, in the web app at app.tablee-app.com, and back again. Sign in with Apple, or with a six-digit code sent by email. On your computer, a QR code signs the app in with one scan of your camera. THE PLANS Free: one event, up to 5 tables The full editor and the full seating engine: this is not a trial. Documents carry a "Made with Tablee" line. This event: one-time payment Up to 200 tables on the event of your choice, and every document without a watermark. No subscription, no renewal. This is the wedding plan. You pay once, for your day. Tablee Pro: yearly subscription Unlimited events and tables, watermark-free documents everywhere. Built for caterers, venues and wedding planners running one event after another. With an account, your purchases count on iPhone, iPad and computer. You pay when you create the event, right after picking your plan. FOUR DOCUMENTS READY TO PRINT โข Service sheet: covers, meals and allergens counted table by table โข A3 floor plan to scale, then one page per table โข Alphabetical list, to find someone in three seconds โข A2 entrance poster, "Find your table" Plus a backup file, to open on another device or on your computer. YOUR DATA Without an account, everything stays on your device: the plan is computed there, even offline. If you use iCloud, your events sync between your own devices, in your private space and encrypted. With an account, your account's events are stored on Tablee's servers so they can follow you to your computer. Your guests' allergens and reduced mobility only go there with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. You can delete your account from the app. No ads, no trackers. Terms of Use (Apple's standard EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://tablee-app.com/confidentialite Tablee Pro is a yearly subscription; its price depends on your country and is shown before you buy. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours beforehand. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.
Seated
Read full descriptionHide full description
Seating is the worst job in planning any event, and every app built for it makes you do the work yourself. They hand you a floor plan and a hundred little name circles to drag around. Seated does the opposite. You tell it who must sit together and who must not, and it produces the plan. A wedding, a gala, a company dinner, a conference, a fundraiser, a birthday โ if people have to sit somewhere, and it matters where, this is for that. THREE TABS: PLAN, HALL, GUESTS Add tables on Plan. Arrange the room in Hall โ tap a table and put a name on each chair. Guests shows the same chairs, in seat order. A guest without a chair is not on the list. TWO KINDS OF RULE, AND NO MORE Must sit together. Must not share a table. That is the whole vocabulary, because a seating plan you cannot explain is one you cannot defend to the guest who asks why they are at table nine. A rule between two people applies to everyone they are grouped with, so keeping one half of a couple away from someone keeps the other half away too. IT WILL NOT QUIETLY BREAK A RULE This is the part that matters on the day. If Seated cannot honour every rule, it says which rule was the problem and names the people involved, and it leaves them unseated rather than putting them somewhere you forbade. It never fudges the arrangement to make the numbers work. It tells you what is wrong in plain words โ that you are six seats short, that a family of nine will not fit on a table of eight, that two people are set both to sit together and to sit apart. ADD A GUEST WITHOUT LOSING YOUR PLAN A late RSVP does not reshuffle the other hundred and nineteen. Seated leaves everyone exactly where they were and finds room for the new arrival. You have already told those people where they are sitting. FOUR THINGS TO PRINT Table plan, for the venue and the caterer โ every table with its guests and headcount. Find your table, for the board by the door โ one alphabetical sheet, sorted by last name. Numbers โ one page of headcounts per table for final numbers. Notes โ dietary and allergy notes, grouped by table. All four come from the same plan, so they cannot disagree with each other. Reprint them as often as you like; the list will change again before the day. YOUR GUEST LIST STAYS ON YOUR PHONE A guest list is a map of a family. Who is divorced, who is not speaking, who cannot be near the bar. Every name, rule and table is kept on this device and is never uploaded. Signing in creates an account so the app knows whose list is whose โ the list itself never leaves the phone, and there is no tracking and no analytics. PRICING Building the list, setting the tables, writing the rules and reading the finished plan are free, and stay free. The four printed documents are a single payment of $29.99 โ no subscription, nothing to renew, nothing to cancel. The event happens once.

Verdict
Tablee and Seated are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters โ price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them โ neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
