Water in your speaker? Press one button. Ejecta plays a low tone that makes the speaker cone travel far enough to push the water out through the grille. It is the same trick the Apple Watch uses, and it takes a minute. THE FREE CYCLE IS FREE FOREVER Sixty seconds of real ejection — bursts at the frequency that moves a speaker cone furthest, then a sweep across the band, four passes. The same shaking knocks loose dust off the grille, so it helps there too. No trial, no countdown, no card. POWER EJECT, IF YOU WANT IT Two minutes, louder, six passes and a wider frequency sweep for a speaker that is still muffled. One purchase, and it is yours forever. DUST CYCLE Ninety seconds of higher, faster tones, aimed at loose dust instead of water. A droplet needs the cone to travel, which is why the water cycles sit low; a speck of dust needs it to shake, so this one works an octave and a half further up. SPEAKER TEST Play one channel at a time and hear which speaker is quiet, buzzing or muffled. Your ear does the judging — nothing here invents a score. TONE GENERATOR Hold any tone from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with presets. For testing gear, checking your hearing range, or finding a rattle. WHAT IT WILL NOT DO It cannot clear your charging port — there is no speaker in there to push with. It does not dry anything: the water is physically shoved out, not evaporated. It shakes loose dust off a grille, but it cannot lift dirt packed in over months — that needs a soft dry brush, and the app tells you so. There is no moisture meter in this app, because a phone cannot measure that, and any app showing you a percentage is making it up. The in-app tips page says all of this before you buy anything. NO SUBSCRIPTION. NO ACCOUNT. NO PERMISSIONS. Ejecta asks for nothing — not the microphone, not your contacts, not an email address. Audio only goes out. One optional purchase, Family Sharing included. Turn the volume all the way up and point the speaker at the floor. That is the whole instruction. Requires iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Water in your iPhone speaker? Fix My Speaker uses low-frequency sound waves and haptics to push trapped water and dust back out through the speaker grille. No tools, no disassembly, no appointment — just one tap. After a splash, the pool, rain, or a sweaty workout, water sits inside the speaker chamber and makes everything sound muffled, crackly, or far too quiet. A cleaning tone vibrates the speaker membrane fast enough to force that water out, and a wider sweep shakes loose the dust and pocket lint sitting on the grille. CLEANING TOOLS • Water Eject — a turbo low-frequency burst that pushes trapped water out • Dust Cleaner — a wide sweep that shakes dust and lint off the grille • Deep Clean — a full mid-band cycle for sound that is muffled or blocked • Sound Test — sweeps the frequency range so you can hear what still plays cleanly • Ear Speaker — cleans the earpiece at the top of your iPhone, the one you use on calls • Haptic Clean — pulses the Taptic Engine to shake stubborn debris loose FEATURES • One-tap guided cleaning with a countdown timer • Optional haptic assist while the cleaning tone plays • In-app volume control, so you stay in charge of how loud it gets • Light and Dark themes • Simple, uncluttered design built for iPhone and iPad HOW TO USE IT 1. Turn the volume up and disconnect any headphones, AirPods, or Bluetooth speakers. 2. Hold your iPhone with the speaker facing down so gravity helps the water out. 3. Choose a cleaning mode and start the cycle. 4. Let it run to the end, wipe away any beads of water, then run Sound Test. 5. Still muffled? Run it two or three more times. WHEN IT HELPS • Sound went quiet, muffled, or crackly after your phone got wet • Splashes at the beach, the pool, the shower, or in the rain • Dust, lint, and pocket fuzz built up in the speaker grille over time • Callers sound faint through the earpiece • You just want to check whether your speaker still plays every frequency cleanly GOOD TO KNOW Cleaning plays loud tones through the speaker on purpose — that is what moves the water. Start at a moderate volume, raise it gradually, and keep the phone away from your ear while a cycle is running. Fix My Speaker helps with surface water and loose debris on and around the speaker. It cannot repair hardware damage or reach water deeper inside the device. If your iPhone took a serious soak, power it off, let it dry, and contact Apple Support or a qualified repair shop.
