cool-radar turns the radios already inside your iPhone into a radar for the devices around you — with no extra hardware, and without inventing a single number. WHAT YOU SEE Nearby Bluetooth LE devices appear as contacts with an estimated distance, a bearing once there is enough geometry to support one, and a ranked guess at what each device actually is. The Wi-Fi card shows the link your phone is really on: type, interface, local address and subnet, the default gateway and the gateway's manufacturer. Where both ends have UWB hardware, distance stops being an estimate and becomes a measurement. HONEST BY DESIGN Every value carries a badge. "Measured" is a hardware reading. "Inferred" is a value the math derived. Distances read "ā‰ˆ 4.5 m" because radio ranging is an estimate, not a ruler. When there is not enough geometry for a direction, the app draws a ring of possible positions and a question mark instead of a convincing-looking arrow. And when iOS simply does not expose something — neighbouring Wi-Fi networks, raw spectrum, Wi-Fi CSI — the app says so instead of filling the gap with fiction. THE MATH INSIDE • Log-distance path-loss inversion, with a per-device exponent that recalibrates itself from the geometry you walk • Kalman filtering with motion-gated noise, so a device that is standing still stops drifting on screen • Robust multilateration with Huber weights, so a single reflection off a wall cannot drag a position across the room • A naive-Bayes hypothesis engine that ranks device types from the broadcast name, company ID, advertised GATT services, transmit power, address policy and advertising cadence — and shows you the evidence behind every guess • Behaviour analytics over the signal time series: advertising interval, jitter, trend and periodicity • Radio tomography that maps excess path loss into an attenuation picture of the space FEATURES • Top-down radar with range rings, pinch to zoom, double tap to reset • Device list with search and type filters • Device card with signal history, ranked hypotheses and the evidence for each • Unwanted-tracker heuristics based on public advertising patterns • CSV export of a session • Full Russian and English, switchable inside the app PRIVACY All sensing and all math run on your iPhone. No account, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifier. One optional setting — off until you turn it on — may send a 24-bit manufacturer prefix to a public vendor database to name your router. Nothing else ever leaves the device. Use cool-radar only on networks and devices you are entitled to inspect. It does not decrypt Find My identities, does not enumerate neighbouring Wi-Fi networks, and provides no covert tracking of people. REQUIREMENTS iOS 18 or later. Bluetooth works on every iPhone. UWB distance needs U1/U2 hardware on both devices. Room geometry needs a LiDAR model. Anything unavailable on your hardware is shown as unavailable rather than simulated.

About

QuietCheck Privacy Scanner

QuietCheck helps you notice the Bluetooth devices around you that could be recording or tracking — smart glasses like Meta Ray-Ban, Bluetooth trackers like Tile and Chipolo, drones that broadcast Remote ID, and some cameras that advertise over Bluetooth. It reads the signals these devices broadcast, right on your iPhone. One honest app, not four separate scanners. Private by design: scanning happens entirely on your iPhone — no account to scan, no ads, no tracking. And every alert carries an honest confidence level — Unverified, Low, Medium, or High — because a Bluetooth signal is a clue, not proof that anyone is recording you. A quiet scan isn't a guarantee that nothing's there; QuietCheck helps you notice, it doesn't promise to catch everything. PAY ONCE. NO SUBSCRIPTION. EVER. No weekly traps, no "can't cancel" runaround, no ads. Your first 24 hours unlock every feature — no sign-up, no payment, no limits. After that, a single one-time purchase keeps the full set. That's the whole deal. WHAT IT FINDS • Smart glasses — scans for the Bluetooth signals broadcast by camera-equipped glasses like Meta Ray-Ban and Snap Spectacles. • Bluetooth trackers — detects Tile, Chipolo, and similar trackers nearby, and flags one that keeps showing up near you over time. • Drones — reads the standardized Remote ID signal most drones are required to broadcast. • Action cameras — detects the Bluetooth signal that action and 360 cameras such as GoPro broadcast when their wireless is on. A camera advertising means it's present, not that it's recording. • Hidden cameras — an on-device camera-and-flashlight check that looks for the tell-tale glint of a camera lens. • Action cameras — detects the Bluetooth signal that action and 360 cameras such as GoPro broadcast when their wireless is on. A camera advertising means it's present, not that it's recording. WHAT IT CAN'T DO (we'd rather tell you up front) QuietCheck is a proximity tool: it only ever detects what's physically near your phone, right now. It can't look up, locate, or monitor a device or a person anywhere else. Background detection is best-effort — iOS limits how much an app can scan once it's in the background — so a quiet moment doesn't guarantee nothing's there. The hidden-camera check is a heuristic aid, not a guarantee. It's here to help you notice things, not to replace your own judgment. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Almost everything happens entirely on your iPhone, with no account and no tracking. No analytics SDK, no ad SDK. A few optional features can sync a signature database, submit anonymous feedback, or contribute to a community sighting map — each one is spelled out plainly, and each is off or on-device unless you choose otherwise. BUILT FOR THE REAL WORLD • A proximity radar view for what's nearby right now. • Find It — a warmer/colder proximity locator to home in on a specific device. • Choose exactly which device types alert you; the rest are still logged. • On-device history of past detections, exportable as CSV. • A "please stop recording" card with your state's recording-consent law. • Apple Watch companion, widgets, and Siri Shortcuts. • An optional "meeting mode" that offers to scan around a calendar event. • Optional location tagging — see where a detection happened on a private map. Off by default; your location stays on your phone and is never uploaded. QuietCheck is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, Ray-Ban, Snap, Tile, Chipolo, Samsung, or any other manufacturer referenced in the app. Product names are used only to identify whose hardware a detected signal belongs to.
