Five hundred dollars, a rented room, and a pull-tab hall down the block. Break Even is a top-down pixel game about cheap gambling, built the way games were built in the 90s: flat colors, chunky sprites, rain that never stops, and nothing standing between you and the machines. If you grew up on games like that, this one was made for you. Every sprite is drawn in code and every sound is synthesized while you play. The heart of it is the tab. Buy a sheet at the LUCKY STUB, hold one up, and peel the windows open one at a time — the slow crackling tear, the beat between one line and the next, the reveal. It is quiet, tactile, and strangely calming. Five pull-tab games, five slot machines down at MOONBEAM SLOTS, a triple-zero roulette table at the WHEELHOUSE, a bar pour that bends the odds for a while, a pawn counter, a title-loan window. One rainy block, and more ways to spend a night on it than the night is worth. And the calendar keeps moving. Rent is $650 on the first. Utilities on the fifteenth. Groceries every five days. The bills do not pause when the machines go cold, and they do not pause when the balance hits zero — they arrive on schedule whether you have the money or not, and what you do about that is the actual game. Sleeping is the only thing that moves the day forward. Everything else just moves the money. There is more than one way for a run to end. Which one you get depends on what you were still willing to do near the bottom. WHAT THIS IS, PLAINLY • Simulated gambling, rated 18+. Nothing here is a real wager and nothing you win is real money. • No in-app purchases of any kind — no currency packs, no loot boxes, nothing to buy. • One optional advertisement: a rewarded video you may choose to watch to skip a wait. You are never made to. • No accounts, no sign-in, no leaderboards, and no analytics of ours. Your save stays on your device; the ad SDK's own data collection is set out in the privacy policy. • Apart from the app icon and the launch screen, there is not one image or audio file in it — the art and the sound are generated by the game itself.

You spent three years at Titan building someone else's ideas. Then you pitched one of your own, and your boss killed it in a conference room. So you quit, maxed out three credit cards, and started a company in your mother's garage. Eleven months later, Titan walked onto a stadium stage with your slides. CEO is an interactive story where every decision costs money and every dollar has to come from somewhere. Choose where your company lives, who you hire, what you build and what you charge for it. Read resumes, negotiate salaries, and hand work to your team in a living office that grows as you do. Pick your investors carefully, because the fine print on a term sheet can take the company away from you two chapters later. The story follows the real arc of a startup. Launch a beta with a hundred thousand dollars and an old laptop. Put a price on the door and watch your first payday land, or not. Take the seed money and read what you gave up for it. Get sued by Titan, hire a lawyer you can afford, and take the stand in a federal courtroom where every word is on the record. Testify before the Senate. Raise a Series A and find out what it means to own less than half of something you built. Survive the free copycat, the poaching calls, the merger offer and the live television interview opposite the man who stole your idea. Then come the scandal, the boardroom fight for your job, a factory on the other side of the world, and the last decision: go public, sell to Titan, or stay private. Your choices carry forward. The data you trained on in the garage decides whether the publishers come for you. The investor you took decides who tries to fire you. The engineer you hired decides who Titan tries to hire away. Nothing is a fail screen, but everything is remembered. Between the decisions, the company keeps running. Users sign up, revenue comes in, rent and payroll go out, and when the balance can't cover the month, the team gets paid before the story moves on. Timers mark the work that takes time, from the first training run to the migration that moves the whole company onto new machines. A cast with its own agendas: a former CFO who tells you when you're making a mistake, a reporter who calls when things go wrong, a judge who has read the internet's opinion of your model, and a rival who says your name on stage in front of forty thousand people. Nine chapters, from the garage to the stock exchange. CEO Club is an optional subscription that removes waits and ads, adds ten percent to your revenue and new users, and pays you daily cash. It is not required to finish the story. Terms of Use: https://moreclues.com/terms
