Playwall
Read full descriptionHide full description
Playwall is the backlog you actually want to open. No streaks to keep. No guilt if you skip a week. No number counting everything you have not finished staring back at you every time you open the app. Just the games you already own, kept somewhere that feels good to look at. Nothing in Playwall is locked behind a subscription. Capture, log, and rate as many games as you want, for free, forever. Night Owl is there if you want to support the person who makes Playwall, never because you have to. CAPTURE THE PILE Add a game once, from your own wall or a quick search, and it takes its place: sharp if you own it, dimmed if it is a wishlist, one tap to move between the two. No folders, no lists to maintain. TONIGHT, NOT SOMEDAY Open Playwall on a quiet evening and it names one game worth starting tonight, not a ranked list to read through. Stop scrolling a storefront you have already scrolled. Start playing something you already own. LOG THE NIGHT IN ONE TAP After you play, log the session in a single tap. No timer running, no diary entry required, just a mark that you played and how the night went. RATE IT IN TWO QUESTIONS Finish a game and Playwall asks two questions, not a five-star form to fill out. That is enough to remember what you thought, and it is what turns a finish into something worth keeping. EVERY FINISH BECOMES A STAR Every game you finish joins a small galaxy you can look back through any time: rate it, log it, and it takes its place among everything else you have played and loved. DECEMBER GETS A RECEIPT At the end of the year, Playwall prints a plain record of what you played, what you finished, and what stood out. A keepsake, not a leaderboard. SUPPORT, NEVER A GATE If you want to support the person who builds Playwall, there are three tiers: Supporter, Night Owl, and Patron. All three unlock the same cosmetic extras, wall themes and a gold galaxy among them. None of them touch the games, the logging, or the ratings, and the higher tiers are a bigger gift, not a bigger app. Terms of Use: https://drnkn.dev/playwall/terms Privacy Policy: https://drnkn.dev/playwall/privacy License Agreement (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Speaker Test
Read full descriptionHide full description
Speaker Test checks every built-in speaker of your iPhone or iPad in under a minute. SPEAKER CHECK Play a tone on each speaker one by one, answer "heard it" or "didn't hear", and see the result: "2 of 2 speakers work". iPhone has two speakers, the bottom speaker and the earpiece at the top; a weak or silent one is easy to spot. STEREO LEFT / RIGHT Play a tone on the left, the right or both speakers and hear whether each side works on its own. WATER EJECT Pulses of a low 165 Hz tone make the speaker membrane vibrate, which can help push water and dust out of the grille after your phone gets wet. MORE TESTS ⢠Basic tones: A4 440 Hz and a vocal-range tone ⢠Advanced tones: bass, treble, white noise, square wave, custom frequency ⢠Frequency sweep from 20 Hz to 20 kHz: find where the sound stops ⢠Output devices: see where the sound goes (speaker, headphones, Bluetooth, AirPlay) ⢠Warnings when headphones take the sound away from the speakers PREMIUM (one-time purchase, no subscription) ⢠No ads ⢠Full report with all checks, as a PDF you can share when you sell or buy a used phone ⢠Report history ⢠Automatic microphone check: the phone listens to its own speakers with its microphones and measures each speaker and the frequency response FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How do I test my speakers? Open Speaker check and answer after each tone. You see how many speakers work. Why does only one speaker play in the left / right test? On iPhone the left channel plays from the bottom speaker and the right channel from the earpiece at the top. Can it get water out of the speaker? The 165 Hz tone can help push water out. It does not repair water damage. Is my audio recorded? No. The microphone check analyzes the sound on the device and never records or sends it. Languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, French, Arabic, Ukrainian and Russian. To change the language, open iOS Settings, scroll to Speaker Test and choose Language. Everything that was free stays free. Start at a low volume: very high or low tones can be uncomfortable. The water eject tone does not repair water damage. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Speaker Test at none against Playwall's 3. Speaker Test also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). Playwall's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
