About

NoiseGuard

NoiseGuard is a sound level meter that keeps a running total of the noise you take in. Most dB meter apps show you the level right now and nothing else. NoiseGuard also adds up today's exposure, so you can see how much of your day's quiet you have already spent. HOW THE DOSE WORKS The daily dose follows the widely used 85 dB for 8 hours reference with a 3 dB exchange rate: every extra 3 dB halves the time you can spend there. 85 dB for 8 hours, 88 dB for 4 hours, 91 dB for 2 hours, and so on. While you are measuring, time spent at or above 85 dB piles up as a percentage of that daily allowance, and the card changes color as you climb: Safe, Caution, and Over the daily guide. FEATURES - Live dB readout with a scrolling bar meter - Session minimum, average and maximum - Today's noise dose as a percentage, with a progress bar and a 50 percent mark - Three bands: Safe, Caution, Over the daily guide, each with a short piece of advice - Time spent above 85 dB, counted to the second - Home Screen widget showing today's dose at a glance - An About sheet that explains the calculation and the limits in plain words - No account and no sign-in needed WHO IT'S FOR - Band and orchestra players, and anyone who rehearses in a loud room - Live venues, clubs and the people who work in them - Building sites, workshops and factory floors - Parents wondering how loud a place really is - Anyone who wants to look after their hearing PRIVACY Audio is analyzed on your device and is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere. Your dose percentage is saved on this device so the widget can show it. PLEASE READ NoiseGuard is not a calibrated measuring instrument. The iPhone microphone has no certified sensitivity, and the reading changes with your case, the direction you point the phone and the wind, so every number is a rough guide. It is not a medical device and not an occupational-safety instrument, and it makes no claim of compliance with any regulation or standard. The counter only runs while the app is open and measuring, so it always under-reports the noise in your whole day. If you are worried about your hearing, please see a specialist. Open NoiseGuard and see how loud your day really is.

About

BenchPro Testing

Features

BenchPro Tester is the companion app used alongside Bench Pro repair shop diagnostic stations. When you bring your phone in for service or a trade-in evaluation, your technician connects it over USB and this app walks through a complete guided hardware check โ€” results are sent straight to the shop's diagnostic report. WHAT IT CHECKS โ€ข Screen โ€” dead pixel and display check โ€ข Touch screen โ€” full coverage test โ€ข Multi-touch โ€” simultaneous finger detection โ€ข Front and rear camera โ€ข Speaker and earpiece โ€ข Top and bottom microphone โ€ข Vibration / haptics โ€ข Physical buttons โ€ข Charging port โ€ข Flashlight โ€ข Proximity sensor โ€ข Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios โ€ข GPS โ€ข Gyroscope โ€ข Battery health (real load test, not just a snapshot reading) HOW IT WORKS Plug your phone into the shop's diagnostic computer with a USB cable. This app opens automatically and walks you through each test with clear on-screen instructions โ€” tap Pass, Fail, or Skip as you go. No account, no sign-up, no data entry required. No cable handy, or a port that won't connect? The app also supports a hand-tested mode your technician can use directly on the shop computer, so a diagnostic can still be completed without a working USB connection. WHO IT'S FOR This app is intended for use at a participating repair shop running Bench Pro Tech Station โ€” it isn't a general consumer diagnostic tool and has no functionality on its own outside of that pairing. PRIVACY Test results are sent only to the shop's own computer over your temporary USB/local connection โ€” nothing is uploaded to Bench Pro's servers or any third party, and no account or personal information is required to use the app.
