Zing reimagines the way part-time work is managed and scheduled. Instead of submitting hundreds of resumes, create one profile with Zing and let us know when you want to work. We then find restaurants or bars who have availability for part-time dishwashers and offer you their shifts directly. These appear right in the app, with all the information including: - How much you will make - Start and end time - Dress code - Directions and map to location - Information about the dish pit - Who to meet at the restaurant or bar - Any special information about the establishment Use the app to accept the shift and to clock in and clock out. The app sends a reminder about an hour before your shift begins. Restaurants will be able to provide feedback and a rating, and whether or not they would like to have you return for a future shift. Your rating is shared among all of our restaurant partners—it is like a living resume. Top workers will be rewarded with more shifts. Let your rating slip, and so will your shift opportunities. Your working history will be saved within the app as well. We are currently only working with restaurants or bars. We are currently only offering shifts in Toronto, However, we plan to expand to different areas in the near future.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Trash Nothing + Freecycle holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trash Nothing + Freecycle has 105 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Trash Nothing + Freecycle's written reviews are positive against 88% of Zing Work's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Trash Nothing + Freecycle ships an update every 3 months, Zing Work every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
