Kapy Notes is a fast, private notebook with a live calculator built into every line. Write a thought, type a calculation, and see the result right beside it. There is no mode switching, formula setup, or separate calculator required. WRITE THE WAY YOU THINK • Notes, checklists, journals, meeting notes, and everyday scratch work • Budgets, splits, percentages, estimates, and running totals • Currency, unit, temperature, and time conversions • Markdown-style headings, emphasis, lists, tables, links, images, videos, and voice notes • Search, archive, protected hidden notes, export, and import VOICE NOTES YOUR WAY Record without an account. Choose local transcription to keep audio on your device, or sign in and deliberately enable cloud transcription. Local transcription and local summaries are unlimited. Cloud usage is shown clearly in Settings. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT • Notes stay on your device unless you turn on sync • Sync is end-to-end encrypted; we cannot read your notes • Shared notes are encrypted for the people you share them with, by email or by link • Block and report controls are built into sharing • No ads, advertising identifiers, or cross-app tracking • Close your account from inside the app whenever you like • Works offline for notes and calculations FOREVER FREE Use every writing and calculation tool with up to five editable notes, 100 MB of storage, 15 minutes of cloud transcription each month, and 100 cloud summaries or rewrites each month. On-device transcription and summaries do not use those allowances. If you reach a limit, nothing is deleted and extra notes remain readable and exportable. PRO LIFETIME Every account begins with a 14-day Pro trial. No card is required and nothing renews. Pro Lifetime is one purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks unlimited notes, encrypted sync and sharing, 1 GB of storage, 120 cloud transcription minutes each month, and 1,000 cloud summaries or rewrites each month. Pro members can optionally buy repeatable 5 GB storage and 1,000-minute transcription packs through the App Store. Currency exchange rates come from Frankfurter, with ExchangeRate-API as a fallback.
Anchu

Anchu gives your work a place to land. Keep tasks, notes, and documents together in a calm workspace that stays useful when life gets busy. A focused task board shows what needs attention now. The knowledge base keeps projects, research, and reference material in a simple folder tree. Search looks through document text—not only filenames—so the idea you remember is enough to find the page you need. On Mac, documents open ready to edit. On iPhone and iPad, they open in a clear reading view with native text selection, then switch to editing when you choose. Your document files remain ordinary, portable Markdown, HTML, or text files in the Vault you choose. Open that folder in Finder or Files, edit it with another app, back it up, or give a local AI agent permission to read and process the same files. Anchu indexes the files for fast navigation and search; it does not turn a hidden server-side document database into your source of truth. Privacy stays understandable: the local Vault remains under your control, and the service handles account, task synchronization, and the metadata needed to keep devices organized. Network connections use HTTPS. You choose which devices, folders, and local tools can access your documents. Anonymous mode lets you start without an account; sign in only when you want sync and device continuity. Anchu is deliberately quiet: no advertising profile, no dark patterns, and no lock-in to a proprietary document format.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Anchu at none against Kapy Notes's 3. Anchu also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Kapy Notes's advantage is update cadence (daily vs fortnightly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
