FreezeSlice turns any sound into an endless, playable drone. Strum a chord, play a keyboard voicing or sing a note, tap ADD, and FreezeSlice holds it at its original pitch for as long as you like. Then chop it in time with your song, color it, spread it across the stereo field, and save it to pads you can fire during a performance. FreezeSlice is an AUv3 audio effect built for live looping and performance. Load it on any channel in your favorite AUv3 host. FREEZE - Freeze up to 4 live layers on top of each other - ADD stacks a new layer; REPLACE crossfades to a new one; RELEASE melts everything away - Set each layer's level, or melt just one layer - Drag the Swell curve to shape how freezes bloom in and fade out (up to 10 s in, 20 s out) SLICE - Chop the frozen sound to the host tempo with a 16-step pattern - Rates from 1/4 to 1/32, including triplets, and 1 to 16 steps - Pattern presets: Trance, Eighths, Offbeats, Gallop, Dotted, Stutter, Half and Build - Shapes both volume and a filter, with Depth, Smooth, Filter and Resonance - Tap the ring to edit steps while it plays TEXTURE AND SPACE - Smear blurs a clear chord into a soft cloud - Shimmer adds airy upper partials: Octave, Octave + Fifth, or Sparkle - Grit crushes the sound from a lo-fi edge to broken radio - Width spreads your layers across the stereo field - Drift makes the drone slowly wander in tone, pan, pitch and level, so held sounds feel alive PADS - Save stacks of frozen layers to 8 pads - Latch, Momentary or Hit mode on every pad - Latch and Momentary pads take over the ring with a smooth crossfade; Hit pads blast on top - Per-pad volume, slicer switch and Hit Decay - Swipe a pad to clear it PRESETS - Save every setting, with or without the audio on your pads - Pads are also saved with your host session PLAY IT YOUR WAY - MIDI notes 36 to 43 play pads 1 to 8, with velocity - MIDI CC 80 to 83 for Add, Replace, Release and Stop - Every control can be mapped to host widgets, pedals and controllers - Built-in MIDI monitor shows exactly what's arriving SEE WHAT YOU HEAR - A glowing ice ring shows every frozen sound, the slicer playhead and a live stereo map of your layers - Full-screen layout for iPad, plus a compact layout when docked in your host - Built-in user guide Made by Mr. Brad's Music for live looping on stage.
