Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Cincinnati Open at 2.6 against X's 1.9. Cincinnati Open also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (178 vs 9). X's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (33% vs 16%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Cincinnati Open holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cincinnati Open has 178 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of X's written reviews are positive against 16% of Cincinnati Open's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
X ships an update every 8 months, Cincinnati Open every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
