Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Quick Key at 75% against PaperScorer Scanner's 25%. Quick Key also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (226 vs 1). PaperScorer Scanner's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

PaperScorer Scanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quick Key has 226 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Quick Key's written reviews are positive against 25% of PaperScorer Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Quick Key ships an update every 3 weeks, PaperScorer Scanner every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
