USTA Flex is free to download; TennisRecord costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
USTA Flex holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: USTA Flex has 752 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of TennisRecord's written reviews are positive against 39% of USTA Flex's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
TennisRecord ships an update every 4 months, USTA Flex every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
