About

Tempo Timer

Features

Lift to the tempo. Let your phone do the counting. Tempo Timer is a voice coach for tempo and time-under-tension training. Set your tempo the way coaches write it, press Start, and keep your eyes on the lift. Every phase of every rep is called out loud, in time. HOW IT WORKS Set the 4-number tempo with quick scroll wheels: lower, hold, lift, hold (for example 3-1-1-0) Choose whether the lift starts lowering (squat, press, deadlift) or lifting (curl, row, pulldown) Explosive lifts: set X for "as fast as possible" Hit Start: a 10-second countdown, then every rep is coached: "Down, 2, 1, Hold, Up" BUILT FOR THE GYM FLOOR The last 3 reps are counted down for you Multiple sets with an automatic rest timer and 30, 20 and 10 second warnings One side at a time: a 10-second changeover for single-arm and single-leg work Pause any time: it restarts the rep you were on Keeps coaching while you switch apps, scroll or lock your phone Plays over your music, so you never have to pause Spotify Big, high-contrast numbers you can read from the floor Haptic taps on every phase change PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no sign-up, no ads Nothing leaves your phone Free. No subscriptions. App Privacy (nutrition label) "Data Not Collected". The app stores the last-used settings on the device only and has no analytics, ads, accounts or network calls. App Review notes (paste into App Review Information → Notes) Tempo Timer is a voice-coached tempo timer for strength training. No login is needed. How to test: on the main screen, leave the default tempo, set Reps to 3 and Sets to 2, then tap START. A 10-second countdown runs, then the app calls each phase of each rep aloud ("Down, 2, 1, Hold, Up"), followed by a rest period with spoken warnings. Background audio (UIBackgroundModes: audio): lifters commonly switch apps or lock the phone between and during sets. While a workout is running, the app speaks timing cues to the user every 1–2 seconds throughout, and keeps doing so in the background. Background audio is active only while a workout is running and stops when the user pauses, stops or finishes. The app mixes with other audio, so the user's music keeps playing. The app collects no data, has no accounts, ads or in-app purchases, and makes no network requests.
