About

Heart_Rhythm

Monitor your heart rhythm using your iPhone camera to assess your stroke risk. The app helps identify potential atrial fibrillation, a major cause of stroke, and calculates your risk score. It also displays nearby hospitals for consultation.

Highlights
  • Record heart rhythm via iPhone camera
  • Assess stroke risk
  • Detect irregular pulse
  • Calculate CHA2DS2-VASc Score
  • Display nearby hospitals

This App is useful to know of your stroke risk, by recording of your heart rhythm on the graph. With our passion that we want to reduce cardiogenic cerebral embolism (CCE) as many as possible, we developed this app. The major cause of CCE is atrial fibrillation (Af). There are the established means of prevention and care before CCE onset. However, the problem is that Af is often without symptoms or a little symptom; therefore, few patients undergoes appropriate treatment. We wish more and more patients with Af are undergoing appropriate treatment as many as possible with the use of this app. How to use this App. *Record your heart rhythm by iPhone camera and check your stroke risk. Please place your tip of index or middle finger on the camera lens. Keep your fingertips relax and not to move while monitoring heart rhythm. Screen shot of your heart rhythm is taken when the heart rhythm graph is stabilized, and you can check of your stroke risk by comparing your pulse record against irregular pulse record. If irregular intervals were observed, please consult with a primary-care doctor. Normal pulse ( called sinus rhythm ) is made by regular contraction of heart. In contrast, arrhythmia cased by atrial fibrillation (AF) is made by irregular contraction of heart. *Know the mechanism of the Stroke and calculate the risk for an onset of Stroke. Atrial fibrillation (Af) is a very common arrhythmia. Prevalence of Af is increasing as aging. This is reported that some 50s may have Af, 10 percent of 80s have Af. Af promotes blood clotting ( thrombus ) in heart. Thrombus in heart sometimes blocks suddenly cerebrovascular on blood flow. This is called the cardiogenic cerebral embolism (CCE). CCE is one type of severe stroke that has high fatality rate. If survival, CCE patient often has serious sequela. Af is the most critical risk of CCE. Fortunately, now we have established means of prevention and cure of Af and CCE if finding Af before the onset. Prevention is better than cure. The most important thing is early diagnosis and early consult to the appropriate hospital. Calculate the risk using CHA2DS2-VASc Score, and you will know your annual risk rate and lifetime risk rate of developing CCE.. *Display hospitals around you *Planning and Development Planning and Development:Kensuke Igarashi M.D. Ochanomizu Medical Clinic Director Cooperative development:Yoshimasa Matsumoto CEO SoftRobo *Operating Environment iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, SE, 7, 'Plus  8, 8Plus, X, XR, XS, XS Max 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, 12, 12 Pro, 12 ProMax. 12 mini, 13. 13 Pro, 13 ProMax 13 mini, and later Flashlight feature is required OS Version: IOS12.0 and later.

About

AF Stroke Risk

This medical app assists practitioners in predicting stroke, TIA, or embolism risk using CHA₂DS₂-VASc and CHADS₂ scores for patients with atrial fibrillation. It provides precise calculations to help determine necessary anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapy.

Highlights
  • Stroke risk prediction
  • CHA₂DS₂-VASc score calculation
  • CHADS₂ score calculation

"AF Stroke Risk - Atrial Fibrillation Evaluation" is a mobile app designed to help medical practitioner to predict the risk of stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA), or embolism based on CHA₂DS₂-VASc and CHADS₂ Score. Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common sustained cardiac rhythm disorder, which is associated with a substantial risk of mortality and morbidity from stroke and thromboembolism (TE) event. There are several features of "AF Stroke Risk - Atrial Fibrillation Evaluation", namely: - Simple and very easy to use. - Precise calculation with CHA₂DS₂-VASc and CHADS₂ score. - Determine the risk of atrial fibrillation complication, such as stroke, transient ischemic attack, and embolism. - It is totally free. Download now! The CHA₂DS₂-VASc and CHADS₂ score in "AF Stroke Risk - Atrial Fibrillation Evaluation" are clinical prediction rules for estimating the risk of stroke in patients with non-rheumatic atrial fibrillation (AF), a common and serious heart arrhythmia associated with thromboembolic stroke. Such a score is used to determine whether or not treatment is required with anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapy. This schema could improve the approach to stroke risk stratification in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) by using "AF Stroke Risk - Atrial Fibrillation Evaluation" app. Disclaimer: all calculations must be re-checked and should not be used alone to guide patient care, nor should they substitute for clinical judgment. Calculations in this "AF Stroke Risk - Atrial Fibrillation Evaluation" app might be different with your local practice. Consult to expert doctor whenever necessary.
