Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: 咪咕视频 at 4.6 against 播播TV's 1.0. 咪咕视频 also leads on ratings volume (4K vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). 播播TV's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. 咪咕视频 sells 32 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and 播播TV sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
咪咕视频 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 咪咕视频 has 4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
咪咕视频 ships an update fortnightly, 播播TV every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
