Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Canon DPP Express at 4.6 against Noiseware's 3.7. Canon DPP Express also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 3) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). Noiseware's advantage is monetization model (free vs subscription) and review sentiment (46% vs 17%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Canon DPP Express holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Canon DPP Express has 2.9K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Noiseware's written reviews are positive against 17% of Canon DPP Express's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
