Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Prop Screen at 4.5 against DigiSlate's 3.9. Prop Screen also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly). DigiSlate's advantage is review sentiment (74% vs 43%) and ratings volume (48 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. DigiSlate sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Prop Screen sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Prop Screen holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DigiSlate has 48 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of DigiSlate's written reviews are positive against 43% of Prop Screen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
DigiSlate ships an update monthly, Prop Screen weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
