Amazing app, ridiculous price

First off, I hate to leave a bad review because this is a much needed app for filmmakers, especially indie filmmakers. It seems user friendly and designed well with a lot of great options. But the reason I have to give it 2/5 is the pricing. It’s $8 a month, which I think a subscription for an app like this is already ridiculous, even if it was a $1 per month. The other option is a lifetime buy, which I am all for, except for this it costs $1k… one thousand dollars for an app is just crazy and greedy. I would gladly update my review to a 5/5 if the developers could bring the cost down to reality. I’d gladly pay $50, hell maybe even $100 for lifetime access, but 10x that price is so unrealistic.

Expensive

Helpful but expensive, 1000$ for lifetime use is unreal.

Not free, misleading but very cool App

The only free option here is green screen. Everything else is locked behind a very expensive payroll.. there needs to be an option for a free tier on all the displays but maybe with some restricted advanced features. This app does look insanely cool and feature packed. I would give it a five star for the developers.

Amazing value and lifesaver

I just wrapped up a feature where we had a lot of phones being shown on screen, which all had to be replaced. This would’ve saved us in post.

Great app. Reasonable price.

I think I looked at an app like this not too long ago. That was if I’m not mistaken hundreds of dollars a year. I can’t imagine $10 a month if you’re using it is a good price.

Cool but expensive

The only free feature is the green screen and that’s easily makable on my own. I was looking forward to the others great features but it’s wildly expensive for an indie crew. I’m sure it’s worth it for the big budget sets but not for me.

Response from developer

Totally hear you on budget — I work in the indie world myself, so this isn't coming from some big-studio mindset. I actually built PropScreen out of my own frustration on set. Just shot a feature loaded with phone screens that all had to be replaced in post, and this would've saved us serious time and money on exactly that kind of job. Couple things worth knowing: there's a 7-day free trial, so you can put it to work on a real project before you're charged. After that it's $10/month, cancel anytime — so you're only paying during the shoots that need it, and one phone-heavy scene saves way more than $10 in post hours. And v2 is in the works with features that make it even more worth it. Green screen stays free regardless — but if you run the full version on a project, I'd genuinely love your feedback. Smaller-crew input is exactly what shapes where this goes next.
