Both are free to download. Godus sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Builderment sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Godus against 4.6 for Builderment. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Godus has 75K ratings behind it against 3.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of Godus's written reviews are positive against 87% of Builderment's.
Godus ships an update every 2 weeks, Builderment every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on September 24, 2026.
