Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Weatherguard at 5.0 against ExpenseMe Pro's 3.0. ExpenseMe Pro's advantage is review sentiment (28% vs 9%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.6). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Weatherguard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of ExpenseMe Pro's written reviews are positive against 9% of Weatherguard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
