Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: SNRTnews at none against Hespress's shown. SNRTnews also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Hespress's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 12) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Hespress holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hespress has 3K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of Hespress's written reviews are positive against 70% of SNRTnews's.
Hespress ships an update every 10 days, SNRTnews fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
