Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Jumping Josh at none against TRUXTON classic's 6. Jumping Josh also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.6). TRUXTON classic's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 37 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TRUXTON classic sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Jumping Josh asks for nothing beyond the download.
TRUXTON classic holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TRUXTON classic has 83 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Jumping Josh's written reviews are positive against 84% of TRUXTON classic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Jumping Josh ships an update every 37 months, TRUXTON classic every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
