Marrow turns cooking into a game with a globe on it. SPIN THE WORLD, COOK WHAT YOU LAND ON Land on a country, get real dish ideas from that cuisine, then actually cook one and log it. Every dish you pin leaves a mark on your personal globe, building a map of everywhere you've cooked from. A PASSPORT THAT FILLS UP Your first dish from a country earns a stamp. Your passport is a real book: open it and swipe through a page for every continent, tap a stamp to see what you cooked there, and share it with friends. Every week, everyone on Marrow cooks the same country at the World Table. SHARE ANY RECIPE STRAIGHT TO MARROW See a recipe on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or any website? Tap Share, choose Marrow, and it's imported with the ingredients and steps sorted for you. You can also paste a link or the recipe text, or snap a photo of a recipe card or cookbook page. COOK STEP BY STEP Cook Mode walks you through each step with built-in timers, ingredient check-offs, and servings that scale live. Making two dishes for one meal? Cook them together and Marrow merges them into one combined step list. NEVER WONDER WHAT TO COOK Explore is an endless feed of dishes from around the world, by meal and by continent. Save the ones you like, or tell Marrow what's in your kitchen and find something to make. RANK EVERY DISH Rate a dish on a 0 to 10 scale once you've actually made it, watch your ranked list grow, and see how your take compares to everyone else who's cooked the same dish. COOKS AND COMMUNITY Follow other cooks, see their dishes in your feed, react and comment. Every profile tracks countries visited, dishes logged and cooking streaks. Also: grocery lists, allergen flags as you build a recipe, and nutrition estimates behind a tap, clearly labeled as estimates. Spin the world. Cook what you land on. Pin it forever.

Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Marrow at free against Dos Toros's free with in-app purchases. Marrow also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Dos Toros's advantage is ratings volume (3.7K vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Marrow holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dos Toros has 3.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Dos Toros ships an update every 9 days, Marrow every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
