Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Navily at 4.8 against SailSpeed's 3.8. Navily also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (836 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Navily sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per year and SailSpeed sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Navily holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Navily has 836 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of Navily's written reviews are positive against 100% of SailSpeed's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Navily ships an update every 2 weeks, SailSpeed every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
