Device Motion Detective vs Sensor
Price, ratings, monetisation and update history for both apps, side by side — with what reviewers say about each.
Device Motion Detective
This utility app captures and stores detailed device motion data, including accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer readings. Users can view real-time motion graphs or past records saved to the database. Data is recorded every second for up to 20 minutes per session.
- Raw accelerometer data recording
- Raw gyroscope data recording
- Raw magnetometer data recording
- Processed device-motion data
- Real-time motion graphs
- Past motion record viewing
- Data saved to database

Detect the device motion detail information and save the information into the core data system. The user could view the past motion record from the data base system. The user could view the real time device motion list or the motion graph. The app can receive four types of motion: raw accelerometer data, raw gyroscope data, raw magnetometer data, and processed device-motion data (which includes accelerometer, rotation-rate, and attitude measurements). The current version could record the device motion data for 20 minutes when tap the record button once. After 20 minutes, the user could tap the record button again. During recording, the app will insert the motion data to the database every second. Only after recording the motion data, the feature of view record motion data will display the record information. In current edition, when the device shutdown, the database information will be cleared automatically. In short, the app may be useful to some engineering users or other users who need the detail device motion data. Best wishes.

SensorStream turns your iPhone and Apple Watch into real-time motion sensor tools. Select a device, choose the sensor streams you need, and view smooth live graphs with sampling- rate information. Record sessions locally and export the captured data as CSV files for analysis, research, testing, or development. Features include: • iPhone and Apple Watch sensor streaming • Accelerometer and gyroscope data • Gravity and magnetic-field measurements • Pitch, roll, yaw, quaternions, and rotation matrices • Live sampling-rate display • Selectable sensor channels • Smooth, full-width graphs • Local recording with pause and resume controls • CSV file sharing and deletion • Light and dark appearance support Available streams depend on the selected device and its hardware capabilities. SensorStream excludes HealthKit-dependent biometric data.
