Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Earpeggio at 4.9 against CleverJazz's 4.2. Earpeggio also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (9.8K vs 5). CleverJazz's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CleverJazz sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Earpeggio asks for nothing beyond the download.
Earpeggio holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Earpeggio has 9.8K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Earpeggio's written reviews are positive against 100% of CleverJazz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Earpeggio ships an update every 2 months, CleverJazz weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
