Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: RMVgo at 4.4 against Oberstdorf's 2.0. RMVgo also leads on ratings volume (594 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Oberstdorf's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 40%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
RMVgo holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RMVgo has 594 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Oberstdorf's written reviews are positive against 40% of RMVgo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Oberstdorf ships an update every 6 months, RMVgo every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
