Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: SoundEcho at none against Spill Zone's shown. SoundEcho also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Spill Zone's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (30 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Spill Zone sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and SoundEcho sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Spill Zone holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spill Zone has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
Spill Zone ships an update every 2 months, SoundEcho every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
