Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Chess Peace at 4.9 against I did it's 1.0. Chess Peace also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 50%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). I did it's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (7.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. I did it sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Chess Peace sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Chess Peace holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chess Peace has 139 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. I did it ships an update weekly, Chess Peace fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
