Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: TrapMania at 5.0 against Monocular Enemy's 4.6. TrapMania also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 7 months vs every 15 months). Monocular Enemy's advantage is ratings volume (93 vs 4) and review sentiment (83% vs 69%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
TrapMania holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monocular Enemy has 93 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of TrapMania's written reviews are positive against 83% of Monocular Enemy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
TrapMania ships an update every 7 months, Monocular Enemy every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on August 14, 2026 and July 5, 2026 respectively.
