Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: DR CONTROL at free against DJI GO's free with in-app purchases. DR CONTROL also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 10.0). DJI GO's advantage is ratings volume (3.3K vs 25). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 2.3 for DR CONTROL against 2.3 for DJI GO. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI GO has 3.3K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 22% of DR CONTROL's written reviews are positive against 15% of DJI GO's.
DR CONTROL ships an update every 5 weeks, DJI GO every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
