Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cnbeta at 93% against 西贝阅读器's 0%. Cnbeta also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 45 months). 西贝阅读器's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cnbeta sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and 西贝阅读器 sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Cnbeta holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. Cnbeta ships an update every 3 months, 西贝阅读器 every 45 months. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
