Dit. Dah. And one day the hiss turns into words. Morse isn't another flashcard app with cartoon letters. It's a telegraphy school in your pocket: a course that takes you from zero to head copy, and a proving ground where experienced ops chase their own records. A gentle on-ramp for the newcomer. An honest fight for the veteran. MORSE AI — A NEURAL NETWORK THAT LISTENS WITH YOU Set your iPhone next to the receiver's speaker and the neural network copies the Morse for you: up to 16 stations at once across the whole SSB passband, from 5 to 100 words per minute. It all runs on the device, with no internet. A waterfall shows who is sending where, and under each station the letters roll by with their dots and dashes. Doubtful characters are marked — tap one and fix it from the alphabet. Choose the station's language and the whole copy is reread in its letters. No sound, just a blinking lamp? Point the camera at the light and the code is read from its flashes. NEW TO CW No memorizing the alphabet off a chart. The Koch method hands you two characters and adds the next only when the last ones are solid — you never get bored and never get buried. The app picks today's characters out of the mistakes you made yesterday. Fifteen minutes a day for a couple of weeks and you're hearing letters, not decoding them in your head. ALREADY HAVE A FIST Here's something to measure yourself against. Callsign copying scored the RufzXP way: fifty calls, the speed climbing with every clean one, errors biting into your score. Sending judged the way a contest judges it — an uneven fist and uncorrected characters cost you, not just your speed. Game Center leaderboards put a number on where you stand in the world. And you can run all of it on your own brass, not a finger on glass. AIR THAT DOESN'T GO EASY ON YOU Forget the clean textbook tone. QSB, QRM, QRN, carrier whistles, key clicks, chirp, a buzzy note — and the faster you work, the rougher it gets. You train in the band you'll actually meet, not in a laboratory. YOUR BRASS, IN THE APP Glass will never feel like brass, and we know it. Connect your key through a Bluetooth adapter — straight key, bug, iambic paddles, whatever sits on your desk — and work it right here: practice, take the test, chase records. Iambic auto-repeat behaves the way it should; paddles swap sides with one switch. No adapter? A game controller does the job — two buttons, dit and dah. WHEN THE KEY ISN'T WITHIN REACH The Morse keyboard turns iPhone into a paddle: key your messages straight into any app you type in. The converter turns text into dits and dahs, an audio file or a QR image in a second. Dictation keeps your texts and plays them back at any speed when you want blind copy practice. 37 MORSE TABLES — ANY LANGUAGE, ANY SCRIPT International, Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Thai, Japanese Wabun, the Chinese telegraph code and more. Scripts with no table of their own are transliterated for you, so nothing stays silent. Progress and records follow you through iCloud — start on iPhone, carry on at the Mac. Some sections are free. Satellite Tracker is the follow on to our award winning HamSat series of applications. Satellite Tracker merges all the features of the iPhone and iPad versions providing you a single application that seamlessly optimizes the screen to the device you’re running it on (check out the various iPhone and iPad screen shots). The application will calculate the rise/set times and associated azimuth and elevation for the selected satellite, Sun or Moon given either the user entered or network retrieved location. There are two modes for satellite rise/set calculations. The first is for those folks wanting to know all overflights for a given location (like Ham radio operators) while the second mode computes only those passes where the satellite would be visible to a ground observer. In the ground observer mode, the calculations not only take into account that the ground is dark but also that the satellite is in sunlight (it even takes into account if the satellite becomes lit or unlit during the pass) In addition, you can see the Earth rendered either as a 3D globe or a 2D map using photo realistic texture maps for the Earth model. The orientation of the map is easily changed by a simple rotation of the device from portrait (3D) to landscape (2D). In either orientation you can zoom in and out as well as pan using the touch screen. There are more than a dozen controls provided to allow you to customize how the application works to meet your specific needs (type of Earth texture used, location, type of overflight calculated…) Finally, the application is now free to download and provides full functionality for tracking, viewing and communicating with the International Space Station (what was the capability of the ISS family of paid apps). The following subscriptions are available for tracking and communicating with a larger set of satellites: -HamSat (Annual and Monthly): Provides access to the NORAD and AMSAT two line element sets which cover all amateur related satellites. -ProSat (Annual and Monthly): Provides access to thousands of satellites grouped into the following categories (from www.celestrak.com): -100 (or so) Brightest -Last 30 Day’s Launches (or so) -Amateur Ham Radio Satellites -CubeSats -Disaster Monitoring -Earth Resources -Education -Engineering -Geodetic -Geostationary -GOES -GPS Operational -Intelsat -Iridium -Molniya -NOAA -Orbcomm -Search & Rescue (SARSAT) -Space & Earth Science -Space Station -Weather To get a feel for the apps, please checkout the iPad quickstart video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiHCGxV0WM8) and associated user’s guide (http://www.vosworx.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/SatSeriesHD.pdf) or the iPhone quickstart video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuPccQI9oSg) and it’s user’s guide (http://www.vosworx.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/SatSeries.pdf).
