Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Teradek RT at 2.8 against DJI GO's 2.3. Teradek RT also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). DJI GO's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (3.3K vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Teradek RT holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI GO has 3.3K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of DJI GO's written reviews are positive against 0% of Teradek RT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
DJI GO ships an update every 2 months, Teradek RT every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
