Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Cerner Camera Capture at 3.9 against New Innovations's 1.9. New Innovations's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (117 vs 20). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Cerner Camera Capture holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: New Innovations has 117 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Cerner Camera Capture's written reviews are positive against 4% of New Innovations's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Cerner Camera Capture ships an update every 3 months, New Innovations every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
