Transit Routes can be created and nearby transit stops will be announced. A unique Indigo feature: record a route using breadcrumbs called Waypoints. No other accessible app has this. You can add these waypoints with the Add Button or you can shake the phone to create a waypoint. It also automatically records a point after you have gone a certain distance. These waypoint routes can be saved for future use. The LookAround Wand in the upper right corner tells you what is in the direction your phone is pointing. The More Info button on the Location screen gives the altitude and speed. Create your own POIs and share your POIs with others or keep them private with a shortcut on the Location page or from the POIs page. POI categories are announced with search results and make finding your destination easier. Audio tones and vibrations give feedback throughout the app letting you know about upcoming turns, critical intersection information and when search is loading A robust route menu includes multiple methods of choosing a destination starting with a POI and an address from your contact list, your route history and many more. Settings include many customization options like vibrations, vision contrast, color settings and distance units. There are announcement options like right/left, clockface, or both.

FAR Vision brings a voice to the physical world for the blind and visually impaired, or anybody that needs helpful reminders about their location or environment. Use FAR Vision to navigate to FAR Accessible partner locations easily. FAR Vision provides much more accurate location information than GPS alone and even works indoors. Once at a FAR Accessible location, FAR Vision will help you get oriented in the location by describing where points of interest are located so you can create a mental map of the location helping you navigate the location with or without technology. You can get descriptive information such as menus, locations of elevators, hazards, audio signage, or any other information configured for that location. FAR Vision can also help you locate a public transportation stop, provide the schedule for the routes at that stop, and even give you live arrival times. Available on supported systems. FAR Vision builds upon your already existing mobility skills to create a more independent and enjoyable environment without creating a dependency on technology for navigation. FAR Vision now supports personal beacons. Purchase your own beacon at our website (http://www.foresightar.com) and take it when you go out or when you travel. The uses for your own FAR beacon are limitless. Hang it on your hotel room door when you travel, leave it on a dinner table, or put it anywhere you'd like help getting back to. FAR Vision was designed by a team of developers that includes our visually impaired co-founder who has 16 years of experience working with a variety of visual impairments at the Emory Eye Center at Emory University as a Physician Assistant. Note: This app is for use in FAR Accessible locations. You can check the Nearby functionality in the app to find locations near you that are FAR Accessible. If you have a business that you would like to be FAR Accessible for the blind and visually impaired, please email a request to GetFAR@ForesightAR.com, and we will be glad to contact them.
