This is often aggravated by an abundance of subjective opinions delivered out of context that can inhibit creative opportunity, and the lack of ability to gain deeper insight and learning in the detail of ideas tested. Invite up to 10 people to take your survey – anyone can download the app and take part in a survey, provided they have been sent an access code and a passphrase. Just share these codes with them via your usual text messenger service or email. One feature of the app is the use of response latency and evaluative priming techniques. These were developed in cognitive psychology to try to measure feelings and attitudes more objectively and to be less prone to biases that can happen when people are responding verbally to direct questions. As the name suggests, response latency tests require fast reactions. It mimics how people perceive brand assets out there in stores and on websites – they can like or dislike a design and feel positive or negative about it in a split-second. The emotional structures in the brain that determines what to buy are uber-fast and so we need to measure them quickly too.
