Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is monetization model: Ctrl+C at free with in-app purchases against Paste's subscription. Ctrl+C also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and review sentiment (67% vs 53%). Paste's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 31). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ctrl+C sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Paste sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Ctrl+C holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paste has 1.3K ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Ctrl+C's written reviews are positive against 53% of Paste's.

UpkeepUpdate frequency
