Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Couch at fortnightly against Linkpack's every 2 months. Couch also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.3). Linkpack's advantage is iOS requirement (10.3 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Linkpack sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Couch sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Couch holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 33 and 24 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Linkpack's written reviews are positive against 53% of Couch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Linkpack ships an update every 2 months, Couch fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
