Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Count That Now at 4.7 against Current Week's 3.0. Count That Now also leads on ratings volume (5.5K vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Current Week's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 60%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Count That Now sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Current Week sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Count That Now holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Count That Now has 5.5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Count That Now's written reviews are positive against 100% of Current Week's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
