Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Berry College at none against Coconote's 24. Berry College also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 18.0). Coconote's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 1) and chart position (#58 vs unranked). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coconote sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Berry College asks for nothing beyond the download.
Berry College holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coconote has 17K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
