Being a professional athlete or umpire is challenging—especially for those who desire to follow Jesus. The pressure to perform on the field, combined with the pull to conform to the culture of the game, can feel overwhelming. Constant travel and frequent transitions often lead to isolation. One of the greatest needs for professional baseball players and umpires is a small, trusted community of support—people who truly understand these unique challenges. That is where our staff comes in. We are former professional baseball players and an umpire who now walk alongside others in the game, helping them follow Jesus. For years, we have supported players and umpires through mentoring, counseling, Bible studies, small groups, mission trips, men’s retreats, and more—providing space for both spiritual and relational growth. UPI exists to help professional players and umpires grow in their faith, embrace their identity in Christ, and build meaningful connections within the baseball community. Mobile app version: 6.22.1

Progressing Together Level 1 is a discipleship program for new believers to enable them to walk with the Lord, feed themselves on the Word of God and integrate into fellowship with other believers. It offers 11 course topics each with 5 key discipleship studies for a total of 55 lessons. Students prepare each lesson as they study Bible passages individually and then share their discoveries with others under the guidance of a group leader. As students progress they grow in spiritual discernment, in stability of walk, and in ability to disciple others.
