Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Greece Earthquakes at 5.0 against Epicenter's 4.4. Greece Earthquakes also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 17.4). Epicenter's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 19 months) and review sentiment (80% vs 60%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Greece Earthquakes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Epicenter has 39 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Greece Earthquakes's written reviews are positive against 80% of Epicenter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Greece Earthquakes ships an update every 19 months, Epicenter every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
