Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NX Field at none against Cascable Studio's 8. NX Field also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0). Cascable Studio's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (379 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Cascable Studio sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. NX Field asks for nothing beyond the download.
NX Field holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cascable Studio has 379 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of Cascable Studio's written reviews are positive against 38% of NX Field's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Cascable Studio ships an update monthly, NX Field every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
