Whether you're baking just a single sourdough loaf or several bakes on the same day โ€“ a flatbread for the evening, maybe a pizza too โ€“ every bake has its own sequence of preferment, resting times, kneading, proofing and baking. Keeping track of what's due when in your head goes wrong fast, especially when hours pass between individual steps. Backplaner solves exactly that. You set which bake(s) you want to make and when they should be finished โ€“ the app calculates backwards and shows you every step in a single, chronologically sorted overview. If you're baking several things at once, color bars show at a glance which step belongs to which bake. Shift one step, and every later time for that bake shifts along with it automatically. For sourdough recipes with long rest times, Backplaner also shows the ideal baking time window: the period in which none of the steps fall into the night, so you don't have to get up in the middle of the night to fold the dough or put it in the oven. You set your own night hours in Settings. What Backplaner can do: โ€ข Handle the timing for a single bake just as well as for several at once, with a chronological overview โ€ข Create recipes with any number of steps and ingredients โ€ข Automatically scale ingredient amounts to the number of pieces you want โ€ข Calculate hydration (TA) โ€“ for anyone working with sourdough โ€ข Show the ideal baking time window, the one in which no step falls into the night โ€ข Preheating wherever you need it: mark the step the oven has to be ready for and get reminded in good time โ€“ the app remembers the preheat duration and suggests it again for your next recipe โ€ข Local reminders for every step, even when the phone is locked โ€ข Add photos to every recipe โ€ข Export the session as a PDF โ€“ overview and ingredient list, ready to print โ€ข If you like, Backplaner clears the finished session by itself, one hour after the last step โ€ข Share recipes by email โ€“ the recipient just taps the attachment, done โ€ข Complete backup of all recipes, photos and sessions All data stays on your device. Backplaner doesn't send anything to its own servers, there's no tracking and no ads. Backplaner is available in German, English, French and Spanish. BACKPLANER PRO Backplaner is free. Without a subscription you can create one pastry of your own; the yearly subscription "Backplaner Pro" removes that limit. The subscription runs for one year and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it expires. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple Account settings. RecipesManagerPro is your central recipe collection for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Import recipes from your favorite websites with one tap, organize them with tags and cook with ease using the built-in cooking mode. IMPORT RECIPES Navigate to a recipe page and the app automatically detects title, ingredients, instructions and image. All popular recipe portals like AllRecipes, BBC Good Food, Food Network and many more are supported. Text recognition captures recipes photographed from cookbooks and magazines. PDF documents and text files can be read in as well. Using the share sheet in other apps, send websites, images and files straight to RecipesManagerPro. SAFARI EXTENSION While you browse, an icon in the toolbar shows whether a page holds a recipe. One click and it is in your collection โ€” no detour through the app. If the recipe is already there, the extension tells you beforehand. Which cookbook recipes go to and which tag they get is set in the app. For Mac, iPad and iPhone. MOVE IN FROM OTHER APPS Bring your collection with you. Paprika, Crouton, Recipe Keeper, Cookmate and the Rezepte app are supported. Ratings, favorites and categories come along. ORGANIZATION WITH TAGS With the flexible tag system, organize your recipes exactly the way that makes sense for you. Create custom tags like Quick Meals, Meal Prep or Grandma's Classics. The intelligent tag suggestion feature analyzes your recipes and automatically suggests matching tags. Multiple cookbooks keep your collections neatly apart. COOKING MODE When it's time to cook, switch to cooking mode. Instructions are displayed step by step, large and easy to read. The app spots times in the text and offers you a timer for them. The display stays on. When you're done, the ingredients you used can be deducted from your pantry. SHOPPING LIST Add ingredients directly from the recipe to your shopping list. The app automatically considers your pantry and only adds what you really need. Same ingredients from different recipes are intelligently combined. Checking off moves your purchases straight into the pantry, and the shopping history shows what you bought last time. PANTRY MANAGEMENT Keep track of your supplies. Create storage locations like refrigerator, pantry or freezer and record what you have at home. Staples like salt and flour can be excluded so they aren't deducted when you cook. WHAT CAN I COOK? Tell the app what you have, or pull it straight from your pantry. It shows the recipes that fit, sorted by match, and tells you what's still missing for each one. NUTRITION The app estimates calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat per serving. It draws on a built-in database of more than 340 ingredients in eight languages, which you can extend and correct yourself. Anything missing is looked up online. ADJUST SERVINGS Cooking for more or fewer people? Adjust the servings and all ingredient quantities are automatically calculated. ON ALL YOUR DEVICES Your recipes, pantry, tags and settings sync via iCloud across iPhone, iPad and Mac. The data lives in your own iCloud, not on someone else's servers. EXPORT AND BACKUP Share recipes as PDF or text with family and friends. Export individual recipes or entire cookbooks. JSON format enables complete backups including all images, tags and settings. EIGHT LANGUAGES The interface is available in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese for Portugal and Brazil, and Spanish. Choose the language independently of the system. Recipe detection on import understands all of them.
