Whether you're baking just a single sourdough loaf or several bakes on the same day – a flatbread for the evening, maybe a pizza too – every bake has its own sequence of preferment, resting times, kneading, proofing and baking. Keeping track of what's due when in your head goes wrong fast, especially when hours pass between individual steps. Backplaner solves exactly that. You set which bake(s) you want to make and when they should be finished – the app calculates backwards and shows you every step in a single, chronologically sorted overview. If you're baking several things at once, color bars show at a glance which step belongs to which bake. Shift one step, and every later time for that bake shifts along with it automatically. For sourdough recipes with long rest times, Backplaner also shows the ideal baking time window: the period in which none of the steps fall into the night, so you don't have to get up in the middle of the night to fold the dough or put it in the oven. You set your own night hours in Settings. What Backplaner can do: β€’ Handle the timing for a single bake just as well as for several at once, with a chronological overview β€’ Create recipes with any number of steps and ingredients β€’ Automatically scale ingredient amounts to the number of pieces you want β€’ Calculate hydration (TA) – for anyone working with sourdough β€’ Show the ideal baking time window, the one in which no step falls into the night β€’ Preheating wherever you need it: mark the step the oven has to be ready for and get reminded in good time – the app remembers the preheat duration and suggests it again for your next recipe β€’ Local reminders for every step, even when the phone is locked β€’ Add photos to every recipe β€’ Export the session as a PDF – overview and ingredient list, ready to print β€’ If you like, Backplaner clears the finished session by itself, one hour after the last step β€’ Share recipes by email – the recipient just taps the attachment, done β€’ Complete backup of all recipes, photos and sessions All data stays on your device. Backplaner doesn't send anything to its own servers, there's no tracking and no ads. Backplaner is available in German, English, French and Spanish. BACKPLANER PRO Backplaner is free. Without a subscription you can create one pastry of your own; the yearly subscription "Backplaner Pro" removes that limit. The subscription runs for one year and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it expires. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple Account settings. Fit baking around the day you already have. Beesy Bakers separates the minutes your hands are busy from the stretches when dough can rest, proof, chill or cool. PLAN VISUALLY Start from a favorite or create your own timed recipe. See each baking step on a readable calendar alongside your existing events, then drag the whole bake into place with one handle. Tap a step for its timing details. Beesy highlights hands-on conflicts and helps you find the next fit, while waiting steps can overlap other plans. ONE BAKE, ONE CALENDAR EVENT Add your bake to Apple Calendar as one event, marked Free when the calendar supports it. The notes contain the complete timed bake flow. Changed your mind? Undo the addition or remove the whole bake from its recipe page. Separate step events remain available as an optional action. MAKE THE RECIPE YOURS Edit step names, durations and ingredients. Share a Beesy recipe with another baker, or paste a shared Beesy recipe back into the app without needing AI. On an Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone, use on-device AI to turn recipe text or a web link into a timed flow, or request changes to a recipe. Review the result before saving. Apple Intelligence must be enabled and available; manual recipe creation and editing work without it. YOUR DATA, YOUR CHOICE No account or sign-in. Beesy stores your recipes and preferences on your device. AI processing happens on device. Firebase Analytics collects usage and purchase statistics, an app-instance identifier and approximate location by default. Turn it off in Settings > Privacy > Usage analytics. Recipe text and calendar details are not sent to Firebase. No advertising or ad tracking. Calendar events may sync through your calendar provider; sharing a recipe and opening a recipe website use the services you choose. FREE TO TRY Your first three bakes are free. Beesy Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited calendar additions. No subscription.
